Bonfix Ltd., is an Israeli company that is developing an implant to treat deformities related
to Hallux Valgus (Bunions) minimally invasively.
The current treatment for Hallux Valgus is an osteotomy of the 1st metatarsal in which the
bone is cut and repositioned to improve alignment of the big toe joint. The Osteotomy is
very invasive and has a long and painful recovery, with a high recurrence rate.
The Bonfix system corrects Hallux Valgus without the need for an Osteotomy. This may
result is quicker recovery with less pain.
